scope of application

Article 1. Accommodation contracts and related contracts concluded by this hotel with guests shall be governed by the provisions of these provisions, and matters not specified in these provisions shall be governed by laws and regulations or generally established customs.
2. If this hotel accepts a special agreement to the extent that it does not violate laws and regulations and customs, that special agreement shall prevail, notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph.

Article 2. Those who wish to apply for an accommodation contract at this inn will be asked to submit the following information to this inn.
(1) Guest Name
(2) Date of stay and estimated arrival time
(3) Accommodation fee (in principle, according to the basic accommodation fee in the First Schedule)
(4) Other matters deemed necessary by this hotel.
2. If a guest requests to stay longer than the date of stay set forth in item 2 of the preceding paragraph during the stay, this inn will process the request as if a new accommodation contract had been received at the time of the offer.


Establishment of Accommodation Contracts, etc.
Article 3. The accommodation contract shall be concluded when the hotel accepts the application set forth in the preceding Article.”However, this is not the case when we prove that our inn did not accept it.”
2. If the accommodation contract is established pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph, you will be asked to pay the application fee determined by this hotel by the date designated by this hotel up to the basic accommodation fee.
3. First, the application fee shall be allocated to the final accommodation fee of the guest. If the provisions of Articles 6 and 18 are applicable, the application fee shall be paid in the order of compensation after the penalty.
4. If the application fee set forth in paragraph 2 is not paid by the date specified by this hotel pursuant to the provisions of the same paragraph, the accommodation contract shall cease to be effective.”However, it is limited to the case where the hotel informs the guests of the payment date of the application fee.”

Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 4. Paragraph 2 of the preceding Article, this hotel may comply with a special agreement that does not require payment of the application fee set forth in the same paragraph after the contract is concluded.
2. If this hotel does not request payment of the application fee set forth in paragraph 2 of the preceding Article and does not specify the payment date for the application fee, it will be treated as in accordance with the special agreement set forth in the preceding paragraph.


Refusal to conclude accommodation contract
Article 5. This ryokan may not accept the conclusion of an accommodation contract in the following cases:
(1) If the offer of accommodation is not subject to these terms and conditions.
(2) When there is no room available due to full rooms.
(3) When it is found that a person who intends to stay may commit acts contrary to the provisions of laws and regulations, public order or good manners in relation to accommodation.
(4) If a person who intends to stay is found to fall under (a) to (c) below:
(a) the Act on the Prevention, etc. of Unjust Acts by Gangsters (Act No. 77 of 1991);
a gangster prescribed in Article 2, item 2 (hereinafter referred to as a “gangster”), a gangster prescribed in Article 2, item 6 (hereinafter referred to as a “gangster”), a quasi-member or gangster, or any other anti-social force
(b) When a gangster or a member of a gang is a juridical person or other organization that controls business activities;
(c) A juridical person whose officers fall under the category of a gang member.
(5) When a person who intends to stay makes a remarkable inconvenience to other guests.
(6) The person who intends to stay is clearly recognized as having an infectious disease.
(7) When a person is asked to bear a burden beyond the reasonable limits of accommodation.
(8) When you are unable to stay due to a natural disaster, a breakdown of facilities, or other unavoidable reasons.
(9) When it falls under the case prescribed in Article 7, paragraph 1 of the Enforcement Ordinance of the Kyoto Prefectural Ryokan Business Act.

1. Drunk people or other people who may cause inconvenience to guests
2. Those who have words and actions that cause inconvenience to guests by releasing songs, making noise, singing and dancing, and music during the stay.
3. Those who are clearly deemed unable to pay.
4. Persons deemed suspicious of their behavior


guest’s right to cancel a contract
Article 6. Guests may cancel their accommodation contracts by applying to this hotel.
2. If the guest cancels the accommodation contract in whole or in part for reasons attributable to it (except when the guest cancels the accommodation contract before the payment is made under Article 3. Paragraph 2).However, if this hotel complies with the special contract set forth in Article 4(1), it shall be limited to the time when the guest informs the guest of the obligation to pay the penalty when the guest cancels the accommodation contract.
3. If the hotel does not arrive at 10:00 p.m. on the day of the stay without the guest’s contact (if the estimated arrival time is specified in advance, an hour later), it may be deemed that the guest has cancelled the stay contract.


the right to cancel a contract at this hotel
Article 7. This inn may terminate its accommodation contract in the following cases:
(1) When it is found that a guest is likely to commit an act contrary to the provisions of laws and regulations, public order or good manners in relation to accommodation, or that he/she accompanied him/her.
(2) If the guest is found to fall under (a) to (c) below:
(a) A gangster, a gangster, a quasi-member, or a member of a gangster or any other anti-social force.
(b) When a gangster or a member of a gang is a juridical person or other organization that controls business activities;
(c) when any of its officers falls under the category of a gangster among the juridical persons;
(3) When a guest makes a remarkable nuisance to another guest.
(4) Failure to comply with the prohibitions of the regulations of use established by this building.
(5) When the guest is clearly recognized as having an infectious disease.
(6) If you are asked to bear any burden beyond the reasonable limits of your accommodation.
(7) When he/she is unable to stay due to a natural disaster or other force majeure.
(8) When it falls under the case prescribed in the items of Article 7, paragraph (1) of the Enforcement Ordinance of the Kyoto Prefectural Ryokan Business Act.
(9) When he/she does not comply with the prohibition of smoking in this inn, smoking in his/her bedroom, mischief against fire-fighting facilities, etc., and other rules of use (limited to those necessary for fire prevention).
“2. When this ryokan cancels the accommodation contract based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, guests will not be charged for accommodation services that they have not received yet.”

Article 8. Guests are required to register the following at the front desk of this inn on the day of their stay.
(1) Name, age, gender, address and occupation of guests
(2) For foreigners, nationality, passport number, place of entry and date of entry.
(3) Date of departure and scheduled time of departure
(4) Other matters deemed necessary by this hotel.
2. If a guest wishes to pay the fee under Article 12 in a way that can be replaced by a currency such as accommodation tickets or credit cards, they shall be presented in advance at the time of registration under the preceding paragraph.

Article 9. Guests are allowed to use the guest room of this inn until the check-out time the next morning.However, if you stay continuously, you can use it all day except the arrival and departure dates.

2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, this hotel may accept the use of guest rooms outside the hours specified in the same paragraph.In this case, an additional charge will be charged.

Article 10. Guests are required to comply with the rules of use determined by this hotel and posted in this hotel.

Article 11. The business hours of our inn’s main facilities, etc. shall be as follows, and the detailed business hours of other facilities, etc. shall be guided by pamphlets, notices at various places, and service directories in the room.

2. The time set forth in the preceding paragraph may be changed temporarily if necessary or unavoidable.In that case, we will inform you in an appropriate way.

Article 12. The breakdown of accommodation fees, etc. payable by guests and the method of calculation thereof shall be as specified in appended table 1.
2. Payment of accommodation fees, etc. set forth in the preceding paragraph shall be made at the front desk when the guest arrives or when the hotel charges in exchange for the money or accommodation tickets, credit cards, etc. approved by this hotel.
“3. After this inn provides guest rooms and becomes available, even if the guest does not stay at will, we will accept the accommodation fee.”


Responsibility of this hotel
Article 13. This ryokan shall compensate guests for damages in the event of performance of the accommodation contract and related contracts or in the event of such default.”However, this is not the case when the reason is not attributable to the inn.”
2. This hotel has received a suitable mark from the fire department, but in order to deal with a fire, we have a liability insurance policy for compensation.


Handling of Contracted Rooms in the Event of Inability to Provide Guest Rooms
Article 14. If the hotel is unable to provide the guest with a contracted room, it shall arrange other accommodations under the same conditions as possible with the consent of the guest.
2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, this hotel will pay a compensation equivalent to the penalty to the guest and the compensation will be used to compensate for damages.”However, if there is no reason to blame this hotel for not being able to provide a guest room, we will not pay compensation.”
Handling of Deposited Materials, etc.
Article 15. In the event of damage such as loss or damage to the items left at the front desk by the guest, this hotel shall compensate for the damage unless it is unavoidable.In addition, cash and valuables are not kept at the front desk, so please keep them in the safe box in each room.
2. If the guest intentionally or negligently damages the goods or valuables brought into this inn and not left at the front desk, this inn will compensate for the damage.
However, we will compensate the specified limit for those who did not report the type and price of the guest in advance.


Storage of guests’ baggage or personal belongings
Article 16. If a guest’s luggage arrives at our inn before his/her stay, he/she will be responsible for keeping it until the hotel agrees before his/her arrival and will give it to the guest when he/she checks in at the front desk.
“2. If the baggage or personal belongings are left at this inn after the guest checks out, this inn will wait for the owner to contact us and ask for instructions.”Without the owner’s instructions, valuables will be reported to the nearest police station within 7 days, including the date of discovery, and other items will be disposed of after 1 month.However, food, cigarettes, magazines, etc. will be disposed of on the same day.
3. In the case of the preceding two paragraphs, the responsibility of this hotel for the storage of guests’ luggage or personal belongings shall be in accordance with paragraph (1) of the preceding Article and paragraph (2) of the preceding Article.

Article 17. If the guest intentionally or negligently damages the hotel, the guest shall compensate the hotel for the damage.

Note 1.% is the ratio of the penalty to the basic accommodation fee.
Note 2. If the contract period is shortened, a penalty of one day (first day) will be received regardless of the number of days it is shortened.
Note 3. If there is a cancellation of the contract for part of the group guests (15 or more), there will be no penalty for 10% of the number of guests (rounded up if fractional).
